There is an abundance of coffee shops, restaurants, banks, and business services in the immediate Uptown area.


Queens Park West is a short walk from the infamous Queens Park and Canada Games Pool. Walk through the park and marvel at the many varietals of trees and vegetation the park has to offer or take advantage of the fitness and pool facilities at the Canada Games Pool. Both are a great way to unwind on a break or after work. The New Westminster library is also only two blocks to the west on Sixth Avenue for the avid reader.

Uptown New West is home to over 33 restaurants, 7 banks, and many coffee shops within a three block radius of the building. Anything is available in the immediate area from fast food to tantalizing Greek, Malaysian, Japanese, Italian, North American and other great restaurants. Starbucks, Tim Hortons, and all of the major banks also offer convenient locations nearby.


Sixth and Sixth is home to two large community shopping centres; Westminster Centre in the 500 block of Sixth Street is anchored by London Drugs and has many national and service oriented retailers, while Royal City Centre is an enclosed mall with a food court, Shoppers Drug Mart, Safeway and will be home to a new Walmart store opening in 2015.


Uptown is extremely well connected by transit. Two Sky Train locations are located just down the hill from and major bus routes with frequent stops traverse both Sixth Avenue and Sixth Street.
